Arrangements & Orchestrations - Operas
with Accompaniment for Reduced Orchestra or Chamber Ensemble.
“The playing is alert and sensitive in the small orchestra pit, and 14 musicians miraculously sound as they were many more"
Review in B.T. of the production of Cosi fan Tutte in Aarhus using Simon M Milton’s reduction of the orchestral accompaniment.

These arrangements succeed in capturing the feel and colour of a full orchestral accompaniment but on a smaller scale. They are perfect in a small auditorium or when young voices might be adversely affected by projecting over a full orchestra. They also save on the expense and rehearsal time a large number of musicians would require. Remember the parts sent to you can be customised to your production with your cuts and repeats printed in.

I am always delighted to arrange new works or to open cuts in the existing arrangements. Given sufficient time I can also provide string parts. I have excerpts from other works by Mozart and Rossini as well as Donizetti and the early works of Verdi already arranged. Many of these could form the basis of the arrangement of a complete opera.
