A small string ensemble is necessary (c10 players – 2 violas) playing Mozart’s original string parts which are not provided at present.
The present version contains the normal cuts.
This version was first performed by the Aarhus Summer Opera in August 2000 in the Helsingor Theatre in Den Gamle By, Aarhus. The production was revived in August 2001. The Conductor was Jesper Grove Joergensen and the director was Nigel Warrington.
This production won the best opera Reumert Awards 2001
This version was later used (with some small adaptions to allow for
divided violas) by the Fyn Opera who performed it with great success
